Hi Everyone,
Tonight I will be having my final 400H race before I line up in the Heats of the W400H at the London Olympic Games. I am in Szczecin, Poland and will be running at 720pm (320am AEST). There is a strong field assembled and I am looking forward to having a final hit out before London.
I am not sure if it will work but there is a LIVE stream of the IAAF Grand Prix Premium EAA meet here… Also, for more information on the meet, please click here…

Hi Everyone,
As the London Olympics approaches rather quickly, there have been a few media interviews, articles and videos featuring myself, as well as my wonderful training partner and fellow London Olympics-bound athlete Brendan Cole, as well as my awesome coach Matt Beckenham.
Please take a few moments to watch/read and gain more of an insight as to who I am, leading into the biggest competition of my career.
You can click on each article below, or you can also find them on my ’2012 Media’ page.

Hi Everyone,
On July 17th I ran in the 400H in Luzern, finishing 7th in 56.98. I was disappointed with this result, as I was in the lead pack coming into the last 120m, however some untimely stride pattern errors occurred. I lost momentum and time which is very hard to recover from in a 400H race.
I now know what I have to do in my next and final race before London, which will be on Saturday in Szczecin, Poland. It will be another tough race in (hopefully) good weather so I am looking forward to having a great run.
Footage of the race in Luzern can be viewed by clicking here, otherwise you can watch it on my ’2012 Races’ page.

Hi Everyone,
Tonight I will be competing in the W400H at ‘Spitzen Leichtathletik’ set the in the gorgeous Swiss town of Luzern. I am against a very high quality field tonight which is great! I can’t wait to run against some of the best 400m Hurdlers at the moment! My race is at 21.33 (0533 AEST).
For more information on the meet, including start lists and a program please click here. Race results and footage will be available as soon as I can access them!

Hi Everyone,
About a month ago, just before I left Canberra for Europe, I was interviewed by Greg (aka my training partner Brendan Cole, who is also representing Australia at the upcoming London Olympics in 400H!).
I thought I’d bring this mock-interview to your attention, as a bit of an insight into how much fun our MattyBDEPT squad training environment can be. It is not at all a serious interview, some of the answers I give are serious but the undertone of the entire interview is fun, tongue-in-cheek and most certainly not to be taken seriously!
I hope you enjoy what you see! To watch the interview please click here, alternatively it can be viewed on my ’2012 Media’ page.

Hi Everyone,
On Saturday July 14th I ran a 400H in Kortrijk, Belgium, winning in 57.18. There were only two other people in my race and I was running into somewhere between a 2and 6m headwind for the back straight and top bend. The conditions were certainly far from ideal, especially as it was also very cold for the race.
However, a win is a win and I am happy with how I felt and adjusted my stride pattern to suit the conditions as best I could. I do not think that my time reflects where I am at so I am looking forward to the next race. which is on Tuesday July 17th at 9.35pm (5.35am AEST) in Luzern, Switzerland.
To view the footage of my race from Kortrijk, please click here or you can watch it on my ’2012 Races’ page as well. My blog is now also up-to-date so I hope you enjoy reading that!

Hi Everyone,
I will be competing in a 400H in Kortrijk, Belgium tonight around 1930 (0330 AEST). There is a small but strong field assembled so it would be great for the confidence if I could get a win. The weather forecast for this evening is wet and cold… which I am used to in Canberra! And it might turn out to be great race practice for the London Olympics too, which are fast approaching.
For full details on the ’15th Kortrijkse Guldensporenmeeting’ please click here. Full results and race footage will be available as soon as I can!
